Manistique, located at the mouth of the Manistique River, was home to the Chicago Lumber Company. Seney became known as the "Sin City of the North" because of its many saloons and brothels. Today Schoolcraft County industries are stone quarrying and paper production. Tourism has also added to the economy. There are streams and rivers for canoeists and fishermen. Kitch-iti-Kipi is Michigan's largest spring. |
